Dinner Dance Saturday 23rd February
The annual Dinner and Dance was held at the Van Dyk Hotel and it was a great night.
In the Prize Presentation there was a new trophy donated by John and Susan Short, called “The Continuity Trophy”, which is awarded to the sailor over the age of 21 years who has shown the greatest improvement over the year. It is a beautiful trophy designed by a Czech artist Emanuei Beranek. The trophy is to replace the Flight Trophy, donated by Peter Ryves, which disappeared several years ago.
Jane Morton won the trophy this year, congratulations Jane.
Fitting Out Supper Saturday 15th March
It was good to see a wide range of members at this event, including our youngest, Matthew, aged two. Jane and Susan and friends served a great Italian meal and the new warming cupboard got its first outing. The pudding table was groaning as usual and everybody seemed to enjoy the evening.
