Blue Grey Algae Update

Posted by Chris on Jul 5, 2019 in Members, Sailing, Social | Comments Off on Blue Grey Algae Update

We would like to re-assure our members, and visitors, that the Blue Green Algae currently affecting Rother Valley Country Park is not impacting on our water at Harthill Reservoir and all our sailing and swimming activities continue as normal. We did have an outbreak in 2018, that was dealt with accordingly, particularly as it provides an increased risk to our Outdoor Swimming section. This year we have taken additional precautions to hopefully prevent its re-appearance, however should any suspicions arise that it may be present they will be...

Bryan has asked us to let you all know that his wife, Susan died unexpectedly in mid November, from a heart attack. Susan was only 64 years old. Bryan and Susan had been planning on spending a long and happy retirement together. His family have been supportive. I am sure all the club members, especially those who sail regularly with Bryan, the club`s most dedicated sailor, wish him all the very best and look forward to seeing him up at the club in the not to distant future.
