The First Aid courses are RYA certified and aim to provide you a working knowledge of first aid for all those who go afloat, on inland waters or up to 60 miles offshore. The syllabus is based on the recommendations of the Health and Safety Executive [HSE] and Maritime and Coastguard Agency [MCA]. The certificate is valid for 3 years and fulfills the requirements for:
– The MCA Code of Practice for skippers of small commercial vessels up to category 2 (Up to 60 miles from a safe haven), including boat masters
– A first aid certificate for offshore racers subject to ISAF regulations
– All RYA practical instructors
The Race Office / Start Racing course is a theory course aimed at Club Race Officers and people new to the racing scene and what to learn a bit more about how races work. This is a Rotherham SC course.
