The Sailing Club AGM will be held at 10am on Sunday 12th March. Following the formal meeting there will be chance for a general discussion and also the Trophies will be awarded to the sailors who aren`t able to come to the Red Lion. 12th followed be a spring clean of the clubhouse in preparation for the first race of 2017 on March 19th. This year we will be hosting our fitting out supper and annual prize giving at the Red Lion in Todwick on Saturday 18th March – 7pm. This will comprise of a 3 course meal, followed by the prize giving. We have a separate private room and it is limited to 50 guests, so please book early as places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Sunday 3oth October sees us open our doors for the annual RNLI Pudding Meeting. This is a charity event to raise funds for the RNLI and all entry fees are paid to the charity. Entry fee is up to each competitor with a minimum donation of £3 for single handed boats and £5 for double handed. 3 races, with 2 to count. First race 11am.

With a fine day with a force 3 west / north-west wind forecast, nine Streakers arrived at Rotherham Sailing Club’s Harthill reservoir for the latest Sail Register Northern Paddle Circuit open meeting; little did they know there would be wind from every direction but easterly. Yorkshire and Humberside Youth Sailing Association will be visiting Rotherham Sailing Club on Saturday 21st May for round 3 of their travellers series aimed at Junior sailors under 19 years of age.
